I coach runners/triathletes (trust me this is related) and I talk to them a lot about 2 things.

1. There's always a chasm and you'll have to jump (set big goals/take risks)

2. There is beauty in the power of permission. The permission to do, to become, to make it across the jump.

Great work

The very one thing I think is important for the world is when you said: "(...) I do impress myself at times with how things fall into place. I can’t really take credit, I just seem to allow things to happen."

I knew it was the way the universe works but it took me a beer long time to shut the door to:

- Explanations;

- Justifications;

- Reassuring people around me;

- Other ways of living my life than by this principle.

Everything I want will be given to me.

It's always been given to me haha!

By the way, I love your story and how you dive into being an artist 🤩

Thank you for highlighting this point, it’s so true, yet I forget it so often!

Appreciate the kind words, they’ll be some very deep diving occurring in 2025 and beyond!

Don't know how I missed this post! Thank you for including it in your August retrospective. We talked a lot about this whole amazing arc of awesomeness (pun intended) in our interview but there are bits I missed and the whole arc, told together as you have done here, is utterly inspiring and beautiful. https://open.substack.com/pub/slart/p/11-where-is-the-edge-of-art-with?r=brsy&utm_campaign=post&utm_medium=web

Incredible story. Awesome.

'I don’t often blow my own trumpet (my default, sadly, has been thinking that I’m useless), but I do impress myself at times with how things fall into place.'

BLOW that trumpet, SLART! 🎺🙌😎
