This is so true Slart! I have found myself speeding up more and more. I need to make an intentional effort to slow down my reading and consumption.

I just read an essay by Sarah Fay about an art installation, I think it was a couple years ago perhaps at MOMA but not sure, where the artist sat at a table on a gorgeous red dress and didn’t move for 8 hours and people would go sit across from her and look into her eyes. Gorgeous! It was lined up out the door.

Thanks a lot! Staring into another's eyes for even 30 seconds is so rare now. When I did it as an exercise for 2 minutes, it was the most wonderful experiece.

I do t think I can remember I did a long look into another persons eyes. I think that’s why this had me thinking! Such a powerful exercise, same with staring into our own eyes.

Love this. But I fail to see how we can be bombarded if we refuse to put ourselves in the path of the bombardment. I find this easier than some for sure, but really, this is the "trick," and it's not one. During the war, people took shelter from bombardment. We need to do so now.

You are absolutely right there. I love the War analogy too. Perfect. And puts our overwhelm issues into perspective. πŸ™
