Thanks for asking (and that is such a you question!).
Well, hopefully you’ll find this the perfect answer. :-)
I have a week off from the 23rd to the 31st of August, which I plan to spend with family, relaxing, exploring, and setting aside four hours during one of the days for little errands around Memento Vivere.
In the final week leading up to MV, I’ll be working a four-day week, then taking Friday the 5th off to load up the van, collect the keys from Anne at the Crypt Gallery, and get an early night, ready for the early start on the 6th.
France, I know, right? Something many people wouldn’t dream of doing. But France is very Art Brut appreciative, thanks to my man Dubuffet, so it’s worth a shot.
I’m grateful that Eleanor is coming too. It’ll be lovely to see her in person. And I’m glad you’ll be there in spirit, in so many ways more than one! You’re very welcome to join the online version of the show. I don’t quite know how it’ll work logistically, but at the very least, everyone will get a tour.
The bunks... Me, Lee (my oldest friend, my hype man), Roy (a new friend and local artist), Mark (an ex-colleague of my wife’s and now a good friend), Charles (my old gentle giant of a friend, towering over me at 6 foot 10), and Paul (an ex-Dyson colleague who’s my engineer for the show, a good friend, and an artist in his own right).
Oh, SLART, I am so excited and you are so in the NOW with this! What I would ask you is what kind of self-care have you set aside during this run-up?
Outsider galleries in France!!! MAIS OUI!
I love that Eleanor and David are coming. I so love that I am coming in Spirit with you.
Who are going to be in the 6 bunks?
So many more thoughts and questions. "Sometimes the most beautiful things have to break first." (Like my heart?) Love!
Dearest Beth,

I love it! I love you! I'd love the online tour, too!
Thanks! We'll figure out the tour! I'm super excited now.
Me too!
