Inside the Artist's Mind: Exclusive AMA, 432 Hours Before Launch
...and I don't know what I am doing | Projekt Rattloch — Week 8 🐀🕳️
18 days until Memento vivere and are going… Join the cool kids.
The beautiful truth about being an artist (and probably most people): we're all figuring it out as we go.
Right now, I'm buzzing with excitement about this opening. But here's the thing—I've learned from past events that the secret isn't having everything perfect. It's doing the small, weird, wonderful things day by day, so you don't end up in full panic mode at the last minute.
So what have I been up to?
Packing up paintings and trying to fit canvases into boxes that clearly weren't designed for art
Drilling hanging gear onto the backs—oddly therapeutic, actually
Ordering a neon sign that says "Memento Vivere" because why whisper when you can glow?
Getting a kintsugi repair kit delivered—sometimes the most beautiful things need to break first
Cold emailing French outsider art galleries with the audacity to suggest they hop on a 2-hour train from Paris to St Pancras for the opening (some are actually considering it)
Booking accommodation for the night: a hostel room with 3 bunk beds for 6 people. Picture grown adults discussing contemporary art theory while claiming the top bunk
A few brilliant mates are coming for moral support and manual labour, absolute legends.
This zen, slightly chaotic approach has me curious about you: What would you ask an artist who's currently living between extreme confidence and imposter syndrome? I'm answering every single question, no matter how weird, practical, or existential.
What do you want to know?
AMA…
Best wishes,
P.S. If you don’t have a question, feel free to share your promo ideas in the comments

Oh, SLART, I am so excited and you are so in the NOW with this! What I would ask you is what kind of self-care have you set aside during this run-up?
Outsider galleries in France!!! MAIS OUI!
I love that Eleanor and David are coming. I so love that I am coming in Spirit with you.
Who are going to be in the 6 bunks?
So many more thoughts and questions. "Sometimes the most beautiful things have to break first." (Like my heart?) Love!
