Insight of the week 💡

I had a big insight this week, with the support of Beth Raps. I had the realisation that as my mum used to do a lot of talking for me, I’ve carried this into adulthood in terms of not being assertive, not expressing what I need, not speaking up or standing up for myself. There was never any malice in my mum’s actions, she was trying to help me

I sold my soul for £2.20 minus eBay fees, continued…

The buyer of my soul received the art print and was enthralled. I want to share The lesson I learned from this experience with you…

I didn’t earn anything from this but created a joyful experience that cost me £3 in postage. The ideal scenario, the sweet spot, is to earn money and delight my collectors/customers.

He even added his own frame and label. I love it—collaborative art from the artist and buyer.

His note was priceless!

Get your art on Upsplash so other writers can use your art through Substack in their posts

Thanks to Johnathan Dodson and for bringing this to my awareness. I had no idea, as an artist, you can submit your art to Upsplash, as you may know, Substack uses this platform for Stock images that can be used in posts.

I just added my first one, the search functionality isn’t great, but it’s there for anyone to use! (I’m having trouble finding it in Substack, any ideas Mills, ℭ𝔬𝔫𝔰𝔱𝔞𝔟𝔩𝔢 𝔬𝔣 𝔔𝔲𝔞𝔩𝔦𝔞?)

This week: I’ve pulled my finger out of my ass and did a load on my DYCP proposal (Developing Your Creative Practice). The deadline is coming on 14th December.
