Painting is THE thing

I always remember to forget to that painting is the thing. It’s equal measure tiring and energising at the same time but I always forget about any of life’s woes.
This is what came up during a studio session with Artformeat50 this week. (There’s nothing like a studio sesh with a mate who loves art as much as you do, and loves beer as much as you do too.)

As a vegetarian, it is almost nauseatingly hyper-real. "Last Supper" indeed; I think about the cheapening of Jesus whose end of life is coming up this month just when I thought...he had been resurrected? I am clearly confused. I am a lifelong lover of pink, but this pink contributes to the overwhelm. Euthanasia approved--whoo-ee, we are talking about some serious s--t in this piece. I'd love to know more. I might not be making it clear, but I really like where it's taking me.
