I hear you on the promotion struggle! It's important to get the word out, but creating the art is the heart of it all. Love how you reconnected with pure painting this week - the "best 90-minute painting session" sounds amazing. And the "Fighting with Picasso" piece is intriguing! Can't wait to see more!

Thanks Falak, you're absolutely right! It is about the art, like I mentioned in the post, it's easy to get caught up in the promotional side and neglect the art! Really appreciate you checking out my work :-)

IKR?! Me too! I adore many aspects of it. Of course that's true and not a bit just romantic...still, there IS more to life than croissants, although sometimes I'd be hard-pressed to believe it myself.

I don’t think there is more to life than croissants 😂 I’d have them every day if I could.

I hear you! But they would have to be French. Ones here just don't cut it!

SLART's avatar

I don't think I've had ones from France actually. Only the cheap ones where you get 12 squished up in a bag :-D

Oh, no, you must try the real thing! It is night and day different.

Nice. I might have to find somewhere in London that does good ones.

It IS a UK thing; I only encountered them in Paris in the supermarche b/c I was desperate to find something resembling my US breakfast cereal! I can't wait to see more emerging from your Tuesdays.

Ah I see, makes sense as I assume Lè French aren’t big cereal fans. Thank you, me too 🙏

Nowadays, surely more so! This was in the 1980s. I didn't know from muesli which was what I found in the store...alongside Weetabix!

Yes true, I guess so, I have a romantic idea of French people eating freshly baked croissants 🥐 I’ve been to Paris, Marseille and Montpelier, I am fond of the culture.

I'm so glad you're back to making art! When I lived in Paris, I loved Weetabix because they were familiar and yummy. I didn't know from granola/muesli at that time! I never thought of creating anything but breakfast with them. I LOVE trespasso, the staring into another person's eyes and your paintings of it are so ALIVE!

Thanks so much, Oh I’m glad you know what Weetabix are 😂 I thought it was just a UK thing.

TRESPASSO, it has a name. You’re so great with words, I always learn something new from you.

Appreciate your lovely words. I enjoyed my Tuesday post work session, I’m going to make it part of my schedule.
