Thank you Edward, I do see this now and again. My art wouldn't be the same without the life path I've had so far. I appreciate you reading my post all the way through.
Can I tell you something? (from someone who has a history with Creative Writing) It's true, your writing has served your fine arts with the greatest loyalty that they ever deserve, if not more. They come as a wonderful couple under the same roof of You - Slart!
Thank you thank you thank you, it means a lot. It appears I have been gently led down this path of joining my words with my visual art. About a year ago, someone said they'd like to hear more about my art behind the scenes, and the characters that often appear in my art. Substack feels like a good home for this, as other platforms prefer fast-paced video and clicbait. Substack is a place to read some good writing with a cup of tea. ☕
As I was reading your piece just now, I was also reflecting on my own. May be I don't belong to your world? Which should be: "lovingly, we're so into chattering away for too many nights, it couldn't be more wrong if we could have cigarette and beer to hide our shyness..."
Whenever I get to write, I can only write about "disappointment", "misunderstanding" between people. But ever so, think the method we use to analyse writings from different hands is all the same: heart and skill (like how the Starbuck guys say with their coffee - "Pour your heart")
I say just write how you write, there is no should :-) I am definfately going to have some rants in my writings here too. You said it, pour your heart out! Keep doing that.
I love this! I love your explanatory notes throughout. For fans of your work, this is a short course in how you got to be you and the influences lurking beneath the surface in your work. Beautiful piece!
Thank you so much, Beth! It's great to see you in this corner of the internet. I have started to realise that other people may be interested in the thoughts behind the work, as I feel that way with other artists.
On another note, I would love to see you write a weekly Subtack....
Slart, This is amazing. I see no waste at all, not one second, your life has been art itself.

Egad!
Hopefully you are using 'egad' as in affirming my words :-D Not anger or surprise!
Well, I definitely wanted to remain ambiguous. :)
Ah, I forgot to say thanks. As you got me on this track of writing about my art, so thank you!
Good use of that word. Also, thanks for the new word!
